Stepping relays are designed to activate or deactivate loads via jogging or push-button operation. A pulse at the input will invert the switching status. Upon deactivation, the relay will start regardless of the switching status, and in idle condition upon re-start. Thus, accidental starting of a load can be prevented, for example. Moreover, stepping relays facilitate permanent activation or deactivation respectively of loads from different points. Thus, the interior lighting can be switched both, from the tail gate or from the side doors.
